Over fifty bodies were pulled from buildings leveled to the ground after the Syrian army bombarded residential areas in the city of Douma northeast of Damascus on Saturday.
Rescue workers reported more bodies are believed to be under the rubble of buildings. Numerous seriously wounded people were taken to field hospitals for treatment.
Rescue workers reported that only twenty bodies have been identified with an additional thirty two people remaining unidentified.
The Syrian civil defense corps reported that entire families are stuck under the rubble waiting to be rescued.
