Tempe police are investigating a report about an Arizona State University student who said she was kidnapped and sexually assaulted.
Early Monday morning a gas station attendant told police that a woman had run into the store saying she had been kidnapped.
Police reported that the eighteen year old girl was walking home from a party when a man forced her into a car. She said that a man drove her to an area where he sexually abused her.
The woman was able to get away from her attacker and ran to the gas station for help.
Police say that they have detained a person of interest.
