Two teenagers have been arrested after a Jewish boy, seventeen year old, Moshe Fuerst, suffered a fractured skull during an assault in Manchester at the Bowker Vale Metrolink station.
Fuerst was waiting at for a tram with two friends when he was verbally assaulted and physically attacked.
Officers arrested two seventeen year old boys who are being held on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and violent disorder.
Police are treating this horrific incident as an anti-semitic hate crime.
Fuerst’s family told reporters that the teenager was recovering and that they hoped he would leave the hospital in the next week.
