Turkish police blocked refugees who took off on foot in an attempt to reach Europe on Monday outside of Istanbul.
Nearly seven hundred men, women and children that had been blocked from reaching Istanbul’s main bus station left overnight on foot heading toward Edirne.
Refugees that were along the emergency lane of the highway in the morning were stopped by police who said that they were making morning traffic worse.
Authorities say that Edirne has become the new point for refugees in which they move through in order to reach Europe.
The governor Edirne issued a warning to any migrants trying to be smuggled illegally into Europe through his province, that they will be returned to refugee camps in southern Turkey.
