Islamic militant group in Bangladesh published a list threatening to kill bloggers, writers and activists all over the world

An Islamic militant group in Bangladesh, the Ansarullah Bangla Team or ABT, has published a list of secular bloggers, writers and activists across the globe with a threat to kill them unless their demands are fully met.

ABT is demanding that the Bangladeshi government strip bloggers of their citizenship in a statement that read, “Cancel the Bangladeshi citizenship of enemies of Islam, education, atheists, apostates, unbelievers, anti-Islamic bloggers, agents of India. Otherwise they will be killed wherever they can be found in the Almighty’s world.”

At this point the Bangladeshi government has yet to publicly respond to the threats made in the list nor has the list been authentically verified as written by the ABT group.

Individuals on the new list have told the Guardian writer Justin Burke that they intend to keep writing and blogging.
