The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that at least thirty nine civilians have been killed in Russian airstrikes in Syria over the last four days, including eight children.
Since Wednesday, Russian airstrikes have hit Aleppo, Idlib, Hama and Homs.
The Observatory reported that only fourteen militant fighters had been killed in airstrikes that turned deadly for civilians.
According to the Observatory, the Islamic State group does not control many of the areas hit in the bombardment . Russia argues their intelligence leads them to believe otherwise.
The British defense secretary, Michael Fallon, told the Sun newspaper that the majority of Russian airstrikes were not aimed at the militant group at all. Only one of twenty airstrikes conducted by Russian warplanes hit an Islamic State group target and that they were instead killing civilians.
