A priest in New Jersey was arrested on Friday after police said he pointed a functioning musket at an eight year boy in the rectory of his church.
Father Kevin Carter, of St. Margaret of Cortona Catholic Church, on September 13 took the young boy into the rectory and forced him to stand up against a wall. Carter then took a long gun and pointed it at the child indicating that he would shoot him.
Fifty four year old, Carter was released from jail on a $15,000 bail.
Prosecutor John Molinelli told NBC news New York, that the incident possibly stemmed from a disagreement in sports.
