Police in Florida arrested a man they said raped and tortured a homeless pregnant woman in September.
Fifty two year old, John Lytus is being held on charges that include sexual battery with a deadly weapon, kidnapping and failure to register as a sex offender.
Lytus is said to be a convicted sex offender stemming from a 1986 rape in Rockland, New York.
Authorities said that Lytus picked up the homeless woman in a recreational vehicle and threatened to kill her if she did not do what he told her. The woman told police that she was hogtied and attacked for an estimated twelve hours.
Reports indicate that the following day the woman was returned to the place where she had been picked up.
Another woman in the area described a similar incident that was reported to police.
