Two explosions in Turkey kill at least eighty people and injure several dozens of others

In the Turkish capital Ankara two explosions at peace rallies have taken the lives of at least eighty people and injured over two hundred others.

Protesters lying on the ground covered in blood was aired on Turkish television.

Authorities said that they are investigating one of the explosions for a suicide bomber.

A video of young people singing and holding hands as part of the rally shows the first explosion.

The explosions took place near the central train station as thousands of people gathered to demonstrate for peace and democracy.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan condemned the attacks as “terrorist acts”.

No group has claimed responsibility for these blasts.
