The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that it has documented the deaths of 250,124 people, including at least 74,426 civilians. 12,517 of that total are children.
The over 30,000 people missing throughout Syria is not represented in those figures, including 20,000 people said to be held in Syrian prisons.
At least four million Syrian residents have been forced to flee their homes leaving the country and millions more are displaced within its borders.
The observatory reported that an estimated two million people have been wounded or permanently disabled as a result of the ongoing violence.
