Emergency medical workers in the Yemeni city of Taez reported that at least twenty two civilians were killed and several others wounded when rebel rockets were fired into the city on Wednesday.
Military officials said that katyusha rockets launched by the Houthis and Saleh forces hit areas in the center of the city.
Al-Mutahideen hospital reported that it received twenty two civilian bodies.
Human Rights Watch reported that Houthis rebels and Saleh’s forces “indiscriminately” fired mortar shells and artillery rocket into populated areas of Taez.
The rights group also said that the Houthis rebels were “unlawfully” confiscating food and medical supplies from civilians.
