A homecoming parade at the University of Oklahoma turned tragic on Saturday after drunken driver plowed into a crowd, killing at least four people including a two year old and injuring forty seven other people.
Eleven of the victims treated for injuries were under the age of thirteen including a one year old.
Twenty five year old, Adacia Chambers was taken into police custody and charged with driving under the influence.
Police said it is too early for them to determine whether Chambers drove into the crowd intentionally but that the investigation is being treated as a homicide.
Authorities said at this time seventeen people remained hospitalized and that five are in a critical condition.
According to the OSU Alumni Association more than 80,000 people attend homecoming events at Oklahoma State University but they are unsure of the exact number of attendees that were at the parade on Saturday.
