The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that the Islamic State group tied three people to the pillars in the ancient city of Palmyra and killed them by blowing up the pillars with explosives.
The rights group said that little is known about the people the Islamic State executed or even why they were killed.
Over the weekend, the Islamic State group ran over a member of the Syrian military with a tank because he ran over dead bodies of the Islamic State soldiers by tank.
Video footage which surfaced on social media titled, “And If You Punish An Enemy, Oh Believers, Punish With An Equivalent Of That With Which You Were Harmed,” showing a Syrian soldier in an orange jumpsuit being interviewed by a member of the Islamic State. According to the interviewer the soldier “confessed”.
The soldier is then shown shackled and chained to a tank driving at him, at which time, the soldier jumps in front of the tank.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that the soldier seen killed in the video was nineteen year old, Fadi Amr al-Zaydan.
