Last Friday, a confessed child rapist walked free after a Missouri judge found that the man’s constitutional right to a speedy trial had been violated.
Aaron Michael Fisher was arrested in October 2009 after he raped his five month old daughter.
The five month old baby girl suffered internal bleeding, a fractured skull, and several broken bones.
Fisher pleaded guilty in 2014 but later recanted his plea claiming that he did not remember anything from the horrific incident.
The case was then given to another judge and again transferred yet another time finally ending up at the Cole County Circuit Court and placed before Judge Patricia Joyce on Friday.
Joyce ruled that he must be freed on the grounds that his Sixth Amendment rights were violated even though he is cited as a clear danger to his community.
