US toddler shot by the Mexican army in Tamaulipas

A US toddler was shot after the Mexican army struck the vehicle the child was in while attempting to subdue another car of suspects.


Officials in the Mexican border state of Tamaulipas said that another girl was grazed by a bullet and that a woman suffered wounds from either bullet or glass fragments.


The children are said to have suffered non-life threatening injuries and were transported to a hospital in San Antonio, Texas.


The children and woman, who is their mother and all United States citizens, were visiting family in Tamaulipas.
