Forty five people killed and over two hundred more injured when missiles hit a marketplace near Damascus

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported on Friday that Syrian government forces fired twelve missiles into a marketplace near Damascus killing at least forty five people and wounding over two hundred others.

The city of Douma about ten miles northeast of Damascus has been targeted by the Syrian army in recent months with claims they are hitting insurgents who attack government held areas. Human rights organizations said that is not true and that civilians are the ones under attack.

Medical workers said that they are struggling to keep up with all the injured as airstrikes increase in  Douma.
