A school bus driver in Iowa was arrested on Thursday after he he assaulted a student on a bus full of several children. Multiple young people riding on the bus recorded the incident using cell phone cameras.
Sixty year old, Robert Scarborough, attacked a fifteen year old disabled boy pushing him and hitting him in the head.
Students riding the bus could be heard yelling at the bus driver to stop. Scarborough responds to one student by pointing and yelling at him, telling him to be quiet.
The boy who was assaulted was treated inside of an ambulance.
The Johnston Community School District said, “it appears as though the driver made a series of poor choices regarding how to handle the student’s behavior,” adding that Scarborough has been placed on administrative leave.
Scarborough is being held at the Polk County Jail on charges that include assault causing bodily injury and child endangerment.
