Twenty two people have died, including two children after two boats full of refugees sank in the Aegean Sea

Twenty two people died and one hundred and forty four people were rescued on Friday when two boats full of refugees sank in the Aegean Sea.

 

A spokesman for the Greek Coastguard said that nineteen people died off the coast of Kalymnos and one hundred and thirty eight were rescued there. Another three people died and six were rescued off the coast of Rhodes.

 

At least two children were among the dead.
