A rocket reportedly fired by the Islamic State group hit a mosque during Friday night prayers in eastern Afghanistan, killing six people and wounding four others.
The attack occurred in Achin in the Nangarhar province.
Officials said that the Islamic State group has a growing presence in the region fighting both government forces and the Taliban. It was not clear at this time if the rocket was aimed at the mosque or went simply went astray.
The chief of police in Nangarhar reported that two suspects have been detained. One of the suspects is reported to be a foreigner.
