Publisher of secular books is dead and three others wounded in Bangladesh

Two separate attacks on Saturday at publishing houses in the Bangladesh’s capital killed a publisher of secular books and wounded three others.

 

Both attacks carried out on publishing houses were those known to have produced books written by blogger and author Avijit Roy who was hacked to death in February.

 

Publisher Faisal Arefin Deepan of the Jagriti Prokashoni publishing house was found inside of his office dead publisher Ahmed Rahim Tutul and two writers, Ranadeep Basu and Tareque Rahim,  were shot and stabbed by three men in the office of the Shudhdhoswar publishing house.

 

No group has claimed responsibility for the attacks.
