Uber driver attacked by intoxicated passenger

A California Uber driver was viciously attacked by an intoxicated passenger on Sunday with the whole incident being captured in video footage.

Thirty two year old, Benjamin Golden, was taken into custody by the the Costa Mesa Police Department for public intoxication and assaulting a cab driver.

Uber driver, Edward Caban told police he was punched in the face by Golden and responded by spraying him with mace.

Caban said that he repeatedly told Golden that he was too intoxicated to ride in his vehicle and ordered him to get out saying, “I’m kicking you out, man”. Caban could be heard in video footage saying, “You’re too drunk to give me directions, man”.

Footage shows Golden punching Caban at least six times before Caban is able to reach for a small canister of mace and spray Golden in the face.
