A six year old boy with Autism was shot and killed after Louisiana police pursuing a man discharged their weapons shot the boy.
According to local reports the man, Chris Few, was running from police with his son, Jeremy Mardis, seated in the passenger seat of the vehicle. Sources said Few attempted to ram a police car when police pulled out their weapons and fired live ammunition into the vehicle.
Mardis was pronounced dead at the scene and Few was critically injured.
Police said that they were chasing Few after he fled from an attempt to serve a warrant. It is not clear at this time what that warrant was for.
The coroner reported that Mardis died from multiple gunshot wounds to his head and chest adding that the boy was “caught in the line of fire” and was killed.
