Two Louisiana officers are being held on charges of second-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder in the Tuesday shooting death of a six year old boy with Autism and wounding the child’s father.
Little Jeremy Mardis was buckled in the front passenger side of his father’s vehicle when police open fired on the car killing the boy.His father Chris Few was unarmed at the time of the police shooting.
Twenty three year old, Norris J. Greenhouse and thirty two year old, Derrick Stafford, were both working secondary jobs in Marksville as marshals when the shooting happened.
Police said that it is still unclear what led police to pursue Few in the first place and what triggered the shooting adding that officers attempted to serve a warrant to Few earlier in the week.
Authorities said they are continuing the investigation.
