Authorities in Afghanistan said that on Saturday unidentified gunman kidnapped at least twenty bus passengers in a southern region where Islamic State group members beheaded seven civilian hostages, including a child and two other females earlier in the month.
Police said that terrorists stopped several buses on the main highway early in the morning abducting passengers.
No group has claimed responsibility for the kidnapping.
Police reported that the hostages are primarily members of the ethnic Hazara Shiite Muslim community.
Authorities said that they have launched search and rescue operation.
