On Sunday, unidentified gunman on motorcycles killed a Pakistani television journalist in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
Attackers open fired on forty two year old, Hafeez Ur Rehman, hitting him with three bullets. Rehman was pronounced at the scene of the attack.
Spending twelve years working as a journalist, Rehman was employed by the Neo television network and a contributor for his own daily media outlet.
Rehman’s murder is the fifth attack on a member from the media in the past three months and the second in just the last thirty days.
Taliban militants, a few weeks ago, claimed responsibility for the murder of journalist Zaman Mehsud.
Police said that Rehman had not reported any threats against him and that the motive for the attack is unclear at this time.
