Over two hundred protesters arrested in France

French police arrested over two hundred protesters on Sunday in Paris demonstrating against global warming.

Hundreds of protesters rallied at the Place de la Republique despite the country’s warnings against mass demonstrations.

Shoes, candles and bottles picked up from a nearby memorial were thrown by protesters as they clashed with police.

Police officers fired tear gas into the crowds followed by mass arrests.

Peaceful protesters lined the streets of Paris with sets of shoes representing their inability but desire to be present for demonstrations.
