Five New Jersey elementary school students were detained by police after allegedly plotting to detonate a device at Clifton High School.
Authorities said that suspicious letters from the students were found by teachers that indicated the children intended on attacking the school.
The children were between the ages of ten and eleven years old and have all since been released from police custody to their families.
Police reported that they found a device that was later proven to be non-explosive. authorities said that the incident did not appear to be a “prank”.
