Police in Iran arrested fifty three people supporting the Islamic State group

Police in Iran said that they have arrested fifty three people running websites supporting the Islamic State group.

Authorities said that those arrested were in provinces near border areas but did not give exact locations of where the arrests were made.

Last month authorities said that they broke up a cell recruiting Sunni Kurdish Muslims to fight for the terror group in Kermanshah.

Iran’s Students News Agency reported that arrests have taken place in the last twenty months and that some of those arrested have been released.
