Six Afghan children drown in the Aegean sea

Six Afghan children have died after drowning in the Aegean sea on Tuesday. Five other people including a twelve year old boy were rescued after coast guard workers said that they were found floating in life-jackets.

 

The Turkish coast guard reported recovering the six bodies but did not disclose the ages of the children only said that one was an infant.

 

Turkish officials reported that the boat sank after wooden reinforcements used to fortify the rubber boat came apart in the sea.
