Authorities in Mexico pulled nineteen bodies from a ravine in the southern region discovered by a man from the United States searching for his missing relative.
Officials in Guerrero said that some of the bodies were intact but that others were burned.
Authorities said that the identities of those found in the mass grave remains unknown and they are unsure how long they have been there.
Human rights workers told a slightly different story saying that the bodies were not buried or in a mass grave at all and that the man searching for his missing relative told of bodies hanging from trees and bodies on the ground.
Several non-governmental organizations have requested that government officials take DNA samples and work to identify the victims.
