The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said on Friday that airstrikes killed at least forty six civilians, mostly women and children, in northern Syria.
The Observatory reported that warplanes bombarded Raqqa, Azaz and Al-Bab in Aleppo province, on Thursday.
Six children and eleven women were among the dead and dozens of others were severely injured in Raqqa. In the Idlib province, seven children and seven women were killed in air raids.
Activist believe Russian warplanes carried out the airstrikes but I was unable to independently verify the claim.
According to the human rights group, since September more than six hundred civilians have been killed in Russian airstrikes.
