Seven children drowned in the Aegean Sea

Police on Wednesday said that seven children, four men and two women drowned in the Aegean Sea after their overloaded boat capsized.

 

Authorities in Greece said that the small wooden boat went down off the Greek island of Farmakonisi overnight leaving twenty nine people in the water.

 

Fifteen people have been rescued and transported to hospitals for treatment but one person remains missing.

 

Officials said that two of the rescued remain in critical condition.
