Thirty people at a maternity ward in Saudi Arabia die in a fire

More than thirty people are dead and over one hundred injured after a fire tore through the intensive care unit and maternity ward of the Jazan General Hospital in Saudi Arabia on Thursday.

 

The Saudi civil defense agency said that the fire had been extinguished and an investigation into the cause of the blaze was underway.

 

Several people took to social media criticizing officials for neglecting the Jizan province, especially its hospitals, adding that Jizan suffers from inadequate infrastructure.
