Police officers, firefighters and several volunteers searched Friday for a five year old Pennsylvania boy with autism that wandered away from a party without a coat and barefoot.
Police said that Jayliel Vega Batista was last seen at about 11:00 pm on Thursday running near an intersection in Allentown.
Family members said that Jayliel was playing with a toy at the New Year’s eve party when he suddenly just left.
On Saturday police at a news conference said that they have deployed twenty K-9 units to track the boy’s scent and at least two helicopters and over fifty police officers were canvassing the area.
Police have asked the public not to approach the boy because he is scared of people, but want property owners to check porches, sheds, garages and other spaces where the boy might have sought shelter.
