Swiss woman abducted from her Timbuktu, Mali home

Authorities on Friday said that a Swiss woman abducted back in 2012 was kidnapped again by several unidentified gunman who climbed over the walls of her Mali home.

Beatrice Stockly’s Timbuktu home was found with the door left open on Friday. Witnesses reported hearing Stockly screaming but not one neighbor called security forces for help.

Officials said that it is unclear which group is responsible for her kidnapping.

Stockly, who is a Christian , remained in Timbuktu after the extremist group Ansar Dine abducted and held her for ten days accusing her of of proselytizing for Christianity.

The group then warned Stockly would be executed if she ever tried to return to Timbuktu.
