Over six thousand children and teens currently disappeared in Mexico

The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Jesus Peña, said that over six thousand children and teens are currently disappeared in Mexico.

Peña went on to say that thirty percent of the thousands of people forcibly disappeared in the country between 2006 and 2014 were children and adolescents.

Since President Enrique Peña Nieto took office in 2012, over ten thousand people have disappeared in Mexico in what activists said is an increase of over five hundred percent since 2007.
