Sweden may deport thousands of asylum seekers

Interior Minister, Anders Ygeman said that Sweden could deport between sixty thousand and eighty thousand asylum seekers in the coming years.

Dagens Industri newspaper reported that Ygeman said since about forty five percent of asylum applications are currently rejected, the country must get ready to send back tens of thousands of the refugees who have sought shelter in Sweden.

Sweden and Germany have both taken in the majority of refugees seeking asylum in Europe.
