Forty five people killed and over one hundred others injured in blasts near a Shia shrine in Syria

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that at least forty-seven people were killed and over one hundred others injured in three blasts near the Shia shrine of Sayyida Zeinab.

 

The state news agency SANA reported that the blast was caused by a car bomb that detonated an explosive-filled bus station.

 

The Islamic State group over social media claimed responsibility for the blasts.
