Virginia Tech student, eighteen-year-old, David Eisenhauer was charged with the murder of a thirteen-year-old girl who went missing last week in North Carolina.
Police said that the remains of Nicole Madison Lovell were found in Surrey County during a press conference late on Saturday.
Authorities said that Eisenhauer was initially arrested for the abduction of the young girl after Lovell’s parents told local media that she pushed a dresser in front of her bedroom door and snuck out of the window either Tuesday night or Wednesday morning.
The body of Lovell is being sent to the medical examiner’s office in Roanoke, Virginia for an autopsy.
On Sunday, police announced the arrest of a second Virgina Tech student, nineteen-year-old, freshman Natalie Keepers. Keepers is being charged with helping to dispose of Lovell’s body. Police said that it is unclear how Keepers and Eisenhauer knew each other.
Authorities so far have said that Eisenhauer and Lovell “were acquainted” and that Eisenhauer used their relationship to lure the girl.
