A man wielding a machete slashed four people at an Ohio restaurant on Thursday before being shot and killed by police.
The suspect went inside of the Nazareth Restaurant and Deli began swinging a machete at customers and employees.
People inside of the restaurant threw chairs at the attacker while two others ran outside to call 911.
The assailant left the restaurant and drove off being pursued by Columbus police. Police said that four people in the restaurant were injured in the attack. One of the victims was left in critical condition.
According to witnesses, the assailant originally came into the restaurant and had a heated conversation with employees requesting information about the owner forty minutes prior to the attack.
Upon returning to the restaurant, the attacker said nothing and just started swinging the machete.
Police said that they are still investigating a motive in the attack. The FBI said they are investigating the incident as a possible “lone wolf” terrorist attack.
