The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported on Sunday forty-six people, including twenty-eight civilians were killed in the Syrian city of Homs after two bombs were detonated.
State television reported that the blasts struck in the pro-government neighborhood of Zahraa citing the death toll at twenty-five people.
The Observatory said that the blasts were caused by two vehicles rigged with explosives. However a later report suggests one of the explosions was caused by a suicide bomber possibly wearing an explosive vest.
Several bombings claimed by the Islamic State have hit the city of Homs in the last month. The Islamic State group has not taken responsibility for the attack on Sunday.
