Three young Muslim men between the ages of seventeen and twenty three were found shot to death “execution-style” in an abandoned home in Indiana on Wednesday.
Police have classified all three deaths as homicides identifying no motive in the killings. A spokesman for the Fort Wayne police department cautioned against jumping to conclusions, stating that, as of yet, they had “no reason to believe this was any type of hate crime, or focused because of their religion or their nationality whatsoever”.
The coroner’s office later identified the victims as seventeen-year-old, Muhannad Adam Tairab, Twenty-year-old, Adam Kamel Mekki, and twenty-three-year-old, Mohamedtaha Omar. All are said to come from east African families.
Fort Wayne Police Chief Garry Hamilton told WANE TV, “These young people were just starting out in their life,” adding that investigators are searching for anyone that may have information regarding the murders of these young men.
