Gunman on Friday stormed an elderly care home established by Mother Teresa in Yemen killing sixteen people, including four nuns.
According to witnesses, two gunmen surrounded the care home in Aden while four other gunmen walked through the front door presenting themselves as visitors to patients in the facility.
Security officials said that the gunmen moved from room to room handcuffing people before shooting them execution-style in the head.
A spokeswoman for the Missionaries of Charity told reporters that the nuns that who were killed were scheduled to leave Yemen but chose to stay and serve the people adding that the nuns were from Rwanda, India, and Kenya.
According to the Missionaries of Charity, roughly eighty people were living in the elder care home.
