Thousands of refugees remain stranded at the Macedonia border after the country said it will no longer let any migrants through its border with Greece, blocking the Balkan route.
The decision to block refugees comes after Slovenia barred any access to migrants using the country as a place of transit.
Activists say there is an estimated thirteen-thousand refugees now stranded at the Macedonia Greece border.
This new stance comes after the European Union and Turkey are in works to finalise a plan that all refugees arriving in Greece from Turkey would be sent back. For each Syrian sent back, a Syrian in Turkey would be resettled in the EU.
