Sixty three people were killed and over three hundred others injured after an explosion in a park in Lahore, Pakistan.
The park was reportedly filled with hundreds of families some sources suggested that many families were out celebrating the Easter holiday.
Police believe a suicide bomber is responsible for the attack and detonated his device at the main gate to the Gulshan-e-Iqbal park where children swings and a ferris wheel are located.
A group affiliated with the Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack and said they were targeting Christian people.
According to the police most of the victims of the attack are women and children. Witness told several media sources after the explosion there was a stampede of separated children from their parents frantically looking for one another.
President Mamnoon Hussain strongly condemned the attack and the Punjab government has announced three days of mourning.
