Kuwait arrests a man for online videos considered offensive and vulgar

The state news agency Kuna reported on Thursday the Kuwaiti Interior Minister has arrested a man who was living in Britain charging him with making offensive videos, sarcastic comments, and vulgar remarks about Gulf leaders on social media.


According to Kuna, the Interior Ministry said in a statement, Salem Abdullah Ashtil Dossari failed to respect the country’s customs and their traditions in the words he used to describe leaders in the Gulf Cooperation Council or the GCC also accusing Dossari of openly inciting rebellion and sowing sectarian contempt.


Dossari was seen by Kuwaiti officials using the mobile application, Snapchat. It is not clear if Dossari has a lawyer.
