One hundred thousand households in Romania without electricity

The Romanian energy minister said there are more than one hundred thousand households in the country without electricity, gas,  or access to public transport.

Victor Grigorescu at a press conference on Thursday called for more funding to improve the country’s infrastructure, “We need to build infrastructure from zero in areas where there is none. We need to modify the existing infrastructure”.

Grigorescu said that Romania should move away from relying on their large supplies of natural gas and use electric central heating in its place.
