Sixteen people killed including three children by Turkish security forces

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that sixteen people including three children seeking sanctuary from war and conflict have been shot dead in the last four months by Turkish security forces.

According to the Observatory, a man with his child were both killed by Turkish Security forces at Ras al-Ain along the Turkish-Syrian border and two refugees were shot dead at Guvveci in early March.

The human rights group said that people fleeing Idlib, Aleppo, Islamic State held areas, and Kurdish areas are targeted by Turkish Security forces regularly either detained or killed by them.

One witness described the situation along the Turkish border as an all-out kill zone for refugees adding, where they were once helped by the Turkish Security forces they now just disappear in numbers far higher than are being reported.
