Twenty-two people are dead after a section of a road overpass under construction collapsed on Thursday in a traffic-filled Kolkata, India leaving scores of people injured.
Police said they are unsure how many people remain missing at this time.
Rescue workers could be seen with saws and cranes trying to remove tons of concrete and steel searching for any survivors.
Over seventy injured people were taken to two different hospitals in Kolkata.
According to officials a private builder contracted in 2007 missed several deadlines for completing the construction of the overpass which was promised to be completed by 2009.
