Protesters in Kabul are demanding justice after a young Afghan girl was raped and murdered in Iran.
The six-year-old victim was sexually assaulted and then murdered after being kidnapped by a seventeen-year-old student. The teenager is said to be the neighbor of the little girl who also knew her family.
According to reporters in Tehran, the girl was raped, murdered and doused with acid in an attempt to cover up the crime.
Protesters said conditions in Iran for Afghan refugees are worrisome and appalling.
The Afghanistan Independent Human Rights Commission condemned the incident calling it a “barbaric and inhuman act,” adding the murder highlights the insecure situation Afghan minors are facing in neighboring countries.
